Our valuation will remain valid for 7 days giving you plenty of time to decide whether to sell your car to us. If you wish to bring your car to our premises, one of our representatives will provide you with an instant valuation.   How will I receive payment? After making arrangements with you we will send one of our representatives to view and test drive your car. If they are happy the vehicle meets the specification provided, they will proceed with the purchase.   We make payment using a Barclays bank transfer, which means we can transfer the funds into your account and guarantee they will clear within 1 hour of viewing. If you would prefer another method of payment such as a cheque or bankers draft, please inform us before we view your car.   What do I do if I decide I am happy with your offer?  Contact us by telephone or by email quoting your name and vehicle registration. info@bestcaroffer.co.uk How is my vehicle collected and how long does the process take? Once we have contacted you to make arrangements, we will send one of our representatives to collect your car. Once you are happy that payment has cleared into your account, the car will be driven away.   It usually takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour for our representative to view and test drive the car and for the funds to clear into your bank account.   What documents do I have to have to sell the car? You will need to provide us with the V5 document (also known as a log book), the current MOT certificate and all service history records. It is very important that you describe your car to us as accurately as possible before we make a valuation. Service history is a very important part of the description and the service history must be provided as it has been described to us. This usually includes an original service booklet and all subsequent service history records.   Do I have to be the registered owner of the car to sell it? As you are selling the vehicle you need to be the legal owner and the registered keeper in the V5 document for at least three months. We will only purchase the vehicle if you are able to provide a current UK passport or driving license and a current utility bill for proof of identity and address.   What do I do if my car has outstanding finance? You can still sell your car if it has outstanding finance. We can settle your finance free of charge. We estimate the cost of repairs before making you an offer so it is important that you accurately list any repairs your car needs when providing us with details. If your car is in need of repairs and we have not been notified we may have to reduce our valuation once our representative arrives at the car, or in some cases we may not be able to buy your car at all.   I have a private number plate on my car and I want to keep it, what should I do?  We are interested in purchasing your car with or without a private registration plate.
